&lt;br/&gt;For everyone who wants to learn windsurfing without shelling big $$$ for classes and equipment, you can go to the berkeley marinas California Sailing Club. This is a non-profit sailing cooperative that provides an affordable means of learning about sailing and windsurfing at ALL levels.
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;You pay $60 for three months (comes down to $20/month) and you get free equipment and free lessons!  
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;This is how i started and I would recommend this to anyone else. &lt;/div&gt;

    <summary type="html">&lt;div&gt;I'm such a loser-- haven't been windsurfing for longer than I'm willing to admit.  But I can still sit on the beach and watch the windsurfers and get such an adrenaline rush from them, by them, for them!  
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;So if you have been sailing lately, post about it!  I want to sit here by my laptop and envy you and be stoked for ya!!&lt;/div&gt;

I am not sure if the waves will be up within a few weeks, but its been flat recently, and windy....anyone headed that way?     <summary type="html">&lt;div&gt;i have just returned to the states from two weeks travelling in brazil and venezuala.  
&lt;br/&gt;in venezuala i spent 3 days on margarita island, and surfed at el yaque beach.  
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;the entire beach consisted of people from round the world working at wind and kite surf rental places.  around 40-50 surfers were out daily on beautiful shallow turqoise waters with really consistent wind.
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;i highly recommend getting to this beach if ever find yourself near the south caribbean..&lt;/div&gt;
