I'm such a loser-- haven't been windsurfing for longer than I'm willing to admit. But I can still sit on the beach and watch the windsurfers and get such an adrenaline rush from them, by them, for them!

I would love to tell you about my trip to Cape Hatteras a week ago but I had to cancel due to personal reasons. (Sigh.)
So I'll tell you about the most exiting ride I had this season.
Just a couple of weeks ago I was at the local dam, flying along at a pretty good clip...
Then all of a sudden my fin hit an old road that was hidden under the water. I went right over the handlebars and flopped right into the sail. My fin jammed into the board and cracked the box up a bit.
Who would have guessed a Starboard GO with an 8.0 sail could be stopped so quick? It was a pretty wild ride I must admit.
I was not hurt and I got everything back into shape for less than 2 bucks.
